My friends over at Frugal Living NW shared a recipe for Asparagus with Balsamic Butter sauce, I’m not a huge fan of asparagus, but I figured I could use the same recipe for my broccoli. It’s a huge hit with my family! I’m always looking for new ways to serve veggies in our house and this Balsamic Butter Sauce has become our go-to sauce whenever we make broccoli (or any other green veggie). Give it a try!
Broccoli with Balsamic Butter:
Recipe from Frugal Living NW
- 1 lb of broccoli
- 2 TBSP butter
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place broccoli florets on a baking sheet lined with foil, lightly coat with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. I use the Misto Oil Sprayer to spray the broccoli with a coating of olive oil, it’s a super handy to have on hand in the kitchen. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until tender.
In saucepan melt butter over medium heat until lightly browned. Remove from heat add soy sauce and balsamic vinegar and stir. Pour over baked broccoli and serve. This recipe also works great with asparagus and zucchini too.
