My husband usually stops by the Target in Southcenter on his way to work so he can check and see if they are 70% off for me, so I can report the news to all of you. Plus, he even shops for me! I am sure he only does it because there are no coupons involved in this type of shopping (he has a fear of coupons,you know!) I will even say, I think he kind of has fun doing it.
I am not sure why, but the Nerf Swords he picked up were actually cheaper than the one I picked up. He claims it’s because he is a better shopper. 🙂

- Duplo grocery set $9.98 (50% off)
- Erector set $14.98 (another great find!)
Between the two of us, I am most excited about those Munchkin Card Games, the Nerf items and the Erector set, which means my husband got better stuff than me (don’t tell him I said that!). He also scored my favorite item during the July sale which was an Altlantis Lego set at 75% off. He’s a keeper! Now, if I could only get him to use more coupons he would be the perfect guy.

Perfect! I collect cheaper good deals on gifts for donations at christmas – the org I give to struggles with teen boys so this is a great tip! Now.. can I find it at my target….
Wow, that’s great! My husband helped me find items as well. He also doesn’t like using coupons. I did however got him to use one for Friskies treats for our cat. I had a bogo and he was very happy to use it! Baby steps…
Annie we buy for toys for tots in our house and have them send a truck to get the stuff because we buy a lot. Another teen boy find for me this year was the the mp3 player sets with headphones.. I am so sorry I don’t have the # but they were for ages 8+ and at 70% were around 8.xx.
I saw TONS of those card games….and didn’t know what they were…
I didn’t take a picture….but stopped at 3 targets yesterday morning. One of which was doing the markdowns to 75% off the other two still had the signs at 30% off, but they were actually marked 50% off.
I did great, and I ended up saving $142.70 on 11 toys! What Fun!!!
@Brandy – thank you! We had a family at the event this year as if we could give their teen boy something other then a football.. thats the gift he got the last three years 🙁 Its my mission this year to get better teen gifts – boys especially!
They have a bunch of the munchkin things still at the target in lake stevens, i honestly had no idea what they were. but now that i know that teen boys like them i will get some to donate… i always have a hard time finding things teen boys/girls will like.
