I mentioned in one of my Disney on a Budget posts that good footwear was a priority for a day at one of the parks. You can’t walk all day with wimpy shoes, you won’t be happy! I mentioned that I found a brand of shoes (Keen) that I was extremely pleased with, several of you mentioned you loved them too, while others complained that you had tried the shoes, but didn’t think they had enough arch support. For those of you that were looking for a quality shoe with a better arch support, I think I may have found the brand for you – Kuru Footwear.
Kuru Footwear sent me a pair of Insight shoes to try out. Kuru shoes have what they call the World’s Most Anotomical Midsole for active footwear. The sole of the Kuru footwear has more of a cupping shape instead of being flat, and because of this it forms to the heel of your foot. Once I started wearing the shoes on a regular basis, I noticed that my feet didn’t feel as tired as they have in the past. You really can tell a difference in the way the sole kind of conforms to your own foot. They provide just the right amount of cushioning and support.
In my younger years I wouldn’t have even given these Kuru shoes a second glance, the price tag would have scared me away. (Their shoes run around $90). It hasn’t been until the last 4 or 5 years, that I have changed my way of thinking, when it comes to shoes. Before, I wouldn’t spend more than $15 on a pair of shoes, but I found that I would have to replace my shoes about every 4-6 months. In the past several years, I have paid a pretty penny for several pairs of my shoes. The great part is that instead of only lasting me months, they last years!! I don’t think being frugal means spending the least amount you possibly can, but instead it means getting the most bang for your buck. These shoes are definitely worth the price!
You can check out all of their styles of shoes, including the ones above. These are the Draft style, and they are the next ones on my list, I think they would be a great “everyday” shoe. They come in several different colors, and I love that you can just slip them on. I don’t know about you, but sometimes as a Mom I barely have time to tie my shoes! Slip-ons are my best friends – love them!!
Where can you get Kuru Footwear? Kuru Footwear is only available online at KuruFootwear.com. The great part is that they want you to be totally happy with your purchase. If for any reason you need to return or exchange your shoes they offer 100% FREE EXCHANGES. I love it when companies stand behind their products like that.
Kuru Footwear provided me with the shoes to review, and no other compensation was given. I have shared my honest opinion with you. Now that I have new comfortable shoes, I think another visit to a Disney theme park is in order, don’t you?

I, too love Keen. I have worn their shoes for the past six years, and agree, they are well worth the money. They last YEARS, not months, and they fit my foot (wide with bunions 🙁 ) perfectly. Better yet, they stand behind their product with an excellent warranty. And they are darn cute (my opinion of course!). I also believe a good fitting (and feeling) shoe is a quality of life issue. My feet NEVER hurt. 🙂

I like the Draft style. Great post – in time for an upcoming surgery where I won’t be able to use my hands to tie my other shoes!! These look great and comfy!

I have been a fan of Kuru for a little while now, after purchasing my first pair after foot surgery. I bought the chocolate/brown woman’s shoe, KrurzerII style. They have helped my feet tremendously. I would love to own a second pair, the insight would be my next choice. I am hoping they come out with a dress shoe that you can wear with black dress pants and a nice blouse or sweater that is not so athletic looking. Love Kuru!

I would wear any of them, especially following twin boys that are so active. I do like the orange ones, they are cool. Hope I win a pair.

I like the Draft in black. They look so comfortable, and seem to be very versatile for everyday. I love the stitching in purple, and I especially love the bow on the back.

I recently purchased a pair of Kuru shoes size 13 . . . tried them out in my bedroom (hardwood floor) for 5 minutes and found them too big . . . sent them back to the company to exchange for a size 12 and they told me they couldn’t exchange them because they were worn . . . what a rip-off . . . watch out for these guys!
Rob says
@Peter Thompson. I found your order information and you returned your shoes and we issued a refund to your card. So, I’m not sure why you wrote that we wouldn’t return the shoes when in fact we did.
We try our best to help customers understand how our sizing runs. Sometimes, some of our shoes fit differently from each other. To help, we include our own fit notes along with displaying fit feedback from every customer who writes a review. This isn’t a perfect process, but that’s why we offer FREE exchanges for those times where the size isn’t quite right.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old
daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off
topic but I had to tell someone!
