April is both National Car Care and National Informed Women Month and a perfect opportunity to get empowered to care for your car! Did you know that in the United States the average age of cars and light trucks on the roads today has reached a record high of 9.4 years? That means it’s more important than ever to take proper care of your vehicle. You can visit Motor Oil Matters, to have all of your questions answered about the vital role that motor oil plays in your vehicle.
Taking proper care of your car can potentially save you money in the long run. Changing the oil in your car is something that should be done on a regular basis. Did you know that the correct oil change interval is the one recommended by the engine manufacturer for your individual driving conditions .It is printed in the vehicle owner’s manual. I didn’t know that, I thought it was set amount of time or miles.
When we were first married, we were sure that changing our own oil would save us TONS of money. You know, I am all about saving some money! Truth is, we quickly found out it wasn’t worth our time or money to change the oil on our own. We just never really found the time to do it. Plus, one of the cars we owned you had to practically take the car apart to drain the oil. Then you have the hassle of disposing of the oil. Let’s be honest, changing the oil in your car is not a FUN job.
We finally decided it was in our best interest of time, money and sanity to have somebody change our oil for us. I can run to Jiffy Lube, and have it done very quickly. All the Jiffy Lube’s I have been to have been located conveniently, so I can go have lunch or get some Walgreen’s shopping done while my oil is being changed. You can go HERE to see if you have a Jiffy Lube located near you. While you are there, sign up to receive a $5.00 coupon.
Thanks to MotorOilMatters.org and Shell Lubricants for providing me with a gift card and one to giveaway. The gift card and information was provided through MyBlogSpark. The thought on the matter, are my own.
