These dessert bars combine two favorites, chocolate chip cookies and cheesecake. These are sure to be a crowd pleaser. My family devoured them. I’m looking forward to making them again soon.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Bars
Recipe found at Eating on a Dime
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup butter (softened)
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Filling:
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. Line 9×9 pan with parchment paper or foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside. In mixing bowl whip butter, add sugar and mix until combined. Add egg and vanilla, mix until well combined. Gradually add in flour mixture. When complete set aside.
Mix filling, whip cream cheese and add rest of ingredients until all combined and smooth.
Using your cookie dough add 2/3 of the batch to the bottom of prepared 9×9 pan. Add all of the cream cheese filling on top of the cookie dough and smooth out using a spatula. Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the top. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Allow cookies to completely cool before cutting. Enjoy!
