Head on over to the Black Friday @ Gotta Deal to view the ad scan for Target’s Black Friday sale! I love getting sneak peeks of the ad, and Target is always my fave! I will have a complete list of the best deals and any coupon match-ups for the sale.
Don’t forget, if you buy any of the items the week before the sale starts, you can take your receipt in for a price adjustment during Friday or Saturday of the sale.
UPDATE: Originally, I said doorbusters were excluded from price adjustments, however I am not sure if doorbusters are excluded. I know Target won’t PRICE MATCH other stores doorbusters, but I can’t find anything that says they will exclude doorbusters from their own PRICE ADJUSTMENT policy.
Let’s hear what deals you are most excited about!

So I’m trying to make sure I understand this price adjustment thing correctly – if I go in and buy, say the Disney Princess 7 doll set today for $60 (or $55 w/ $5 off select Disney dolls Target coupon, but is it even worth it to use the coupon?), then 2 weeks from today on black friday I can go in, bring my receipt and ad with $40 price tag, and get my $20 (or $15 if I used coupon) back? Today is the 1st day we can buy these non-doorbuster items and get the price adjusted because it’s 2 weeks before the day of the sale, right? I just want to make sure I have it all figured out before I go and spend the big bucks. 🙂 Thanks!
@Aubrey Yes, you have it correct you will get $15 back if you used the coupon and $20 back if you don’t. I would probably wait until sometime next week (Monday or later) before you purchase the items, because their policy doesn’t really state it will be 14 days, it says the same week or the week before. If you buy it now, they may consider that to be 2 weeks before. Not quite sure on that!
I usually pick up my items the Monday before Thanksgiving and I have never had a problem finding the items I wanted or getting the refund.
Just trying to clarify also–Are the doorbusters only the items focused in the red circles? Looking at the Kindle and wanting to make sure that is not considered a doorbuster.
Ok, I’ll wait until next week – thank so much!
What if it says “special purchase” by it? There is Star Wars underwear for $4.
Was it just me or did every page have “door buster” at the top of it?
Nevermind I think I figured it out… Only the item in the red circle is considered a door buster on the page, correct? Lol
You got it Wendy!
Just make sure you go in Friday or Saturday for the price adjustment. You have to go while it’s still on sale! Saturday sounds safer to me although there isnt much action at the service desk on either day. Good luck guys!
@Tanya You should be fine with the “special purchase” items, that just means that they won’t be brought in again once they sell out.
Just wondering if anyone knows if Walmart will price match other stores such as targets black friday sales?
We’ve been planning to buy a TV on Black Friday all year. Looks like we’re buying from Best Buy, Walmart, or Target. Anyone know when the line begins to form at those stores??
Bring a beach chair, blanket and a coffee mug….start your line at least 2 hours before the stores open. Bring a couple of friends and take turns sitting in your car while the other one makes the line and keep swapping until the door opens!! Good luck.
I’m thinking if you wanted a TV, then just buy it the week before and then go back in for the price adjustment. The lines are INSANE in the electronics department!!! Then you have to stand in line for over an hour just to pay! At least that has been my experience with Target every Black Friday. People were in the lines at Target last year starting at midnight and they didn’t open until 4! Yikes!
I’m getting an Ipod Touch 8 GB with a 10% off coupon and a $40 gift card! woo hoo! thanks so much!
I asked at my Target and they said they will NOT refund the difference in price for door busters.
I had no idea they would do price adjustments on black Friday deals!!! Do u know if the other stores will, Walmart and Best Buy?
Target will not price adjust any items that are doorbusters. Read exclusions at the bottom of this link.

@Jay The link you shared is regarding PRICE MATCHING, we are referring to PRICE ADJUSTMENTS, they are 2 separate things.
