What you Can Find at Costco (May 2014)

Here’s a couple of Costco tips for you: If an item ends in 7, it is Costco’s version of a clearance item.   Also, if you notice an asterisk in the top right hand corner of the sign with the price, that means it is a seasonal item and will not be stocked again (it may come back next year, but it won’t be re-stocked after the current supply is depleted).

Costco has in some really nice Valley Forge American Flags with brackets and poles for only $29.99

They have lots of air conditioners and fans at the front of the store.   The moved the gardening items towards the back of the store so these items can be front and center.

I’m loving this Lifetime bench that can also convert to a table.    It’s $99.99.

Nice deal on a ceiling fan this month, after automatic discount you can pick this up for only $79.99.

I absolutely love this Organic Spring Mix by Earthbound Farm.    I find is super easy to make a salad for dinner every night with this.   This containers is filled with a nice mix of lettuce and lasts quite a long time.    It’s only $3.99.   I pick one up every time I head to Costco now.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to see these containers of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing and dip mix.   I may have squealed!   We love this dressing mix but the packets are so expensive at the grocery stores.   This container is $7.89.   I pay over $4 for a box of 4 packets at the grocery store.   Super deal!

While we’re on the topic of lettuce and salad dressings I have to say this Cardini’s Caesar Salad dressing is my favorite!   You can pick up 2 big bottles for $6.79.

Last month when I hit Costco I was in “sample” heaven.    I was given so many great samples (chocolate, ice cream bars, pizza, etc) and one of the items I tried was this Organic Lemonade.    Good stuff!    This is the best Lemonade I have ever had, I highly recommend it.   It’s not super cheap, but you are paying a little for because it is organic.    Two bottles will run you $6.59.   Totally worth it!

Here is a new item I noticed, Famous Dave’s Signature Spicy Pickle Chips, this big jar sells for $4.99.

One of the better deals this month is Stacy’s Pita Chips.     They are only $3.79 after the instant rebate of $2 off.    We love these!

I found a new flavor of pie, they now have Triple Berry Pie, which in my opinion is way better than apple.   Yum!

I always have to take a peek in the kitchen section and I fell in love with this ceramic cake stand serving set priced at $22.99.   They come in several colors light light yellow, aqua and white.

The cake stand is actually 2 separate pieces.    I think it’s really pretty.    I don’t think I would use it all that often, but I kind of want a set.   Costco has a way of doing that to you…making you want stuff you don’t really need.    I am proud, I didn’t cave.  (maybe next time though)

This Chef’n Sleekstor Baking set really is a screaming deal!   You get measuring cups, measuring spoons and a spatula all for $11.99 after instant rebate.   These are really cool and they collapse to fit nicely in your kitchen drawers.   I checked Amazon and the measuring cups alone retail for $14.99.     These would make a great gift!

I spotted a Nordic Ware backsplash griddle for your grill for $19.99, you save $5 off the regular Costco price of $24.99.

I spotted this markdown item (notice it ends in $.97) that I thought would be fun to own. Two glass carafes for $12.97.

Women’s swimsuits for only $19.99. That’ is a great price!

I found an amazing markdown on men’s dress shoes, these were priced at only $19.97 and they had tons of sizes.

They also had some nice Adidas slip on shoes for men for $12.99.

If you are one of the 3 people that doesn’t already own Disney’s Frozen you can get a great deal at Costco. The DVD is $12.99 and the Blu-ray is $15.99.    Awesome deals!

With Father’s Day coming up I noticed some new cookbooks for the guys.

I noticed some really nice markdowns in the tool section, I am just sharing a few of the deals, so make sure you check out this entire section. Some great stuff for Dad’s. This reciprocating Saw blade set was marked down to $14.97

The Mastergrip Craft & Hobby Tool set is a super low at only $7.97.

This is just one example, but there are lots of deals on cameras right now, I am thinking because they make great graduation gifts.

Pretty sweet deal on scissors if you need a pair or three.    This set of 3 is only $7.49 after the instant rebate, that is only $2.50 per pair.

Deals on light bulbs will vary by location, but I wanted to mention them because our local power company gives an instant rebate when you buy certain bulbs. This makes for some super deals!

Lastly, it is allergy season so you may want to pick up Costco’s version AllerClear for only $8.69.   It has 365 pills, which should last you a really long time.
