The store in Renton, WA went 70% off today. I didn’t get there until the afternoon and there wasn’t a ton of things there. Either they got cleaned our pretty quickly or they never really had that great of a selection. Here are the 4 items I picked up:
- Cars 2 Shake & Go Raceway $11.98 ($39.99)
- Bop-It Bounce $4.46 ($14.89
- Funglish $5.98 ($19.99)
- Paper Jamz $5.36 ($17.89)
There were quite few stores today that went 70% off, so I can say with 99.87% certainty that the toys will go to 70% off at the majority of the Targets tomorrow Thursday, January 12th. I will have a post up on Facebook late tonight, so everyone can add what they are finding at their store tomorrow morning. I can’t wait to hear about everyone’s great deals! Don’t forget, you are more than welcome to post a photo of your deals on the Thrifty and Thriving Facebook wall.
Don’t forget to also check the clearance around the store, there really are great clearance deals EVERYWHERE!! The departments that also get marked down on Thursdays are:
- Sporting Goods
- Shoes
- Home Decor
- Housewares
Here are some other clearance deals I spotted today:
There are TONS of women’s coats marked down to 70% off. This rack is on all the coats, it is only the size medium coats. Don’t forget to check the toddler coats and snow pants they were 70% off at my store on Monday too.
These hair dryers and curling irons finally went to 70% off today. These were only $5.98.
I got an email telling me that the Springmaid quilts were 70% off, and sure enough they were also 70% off at my store.
Make sure you keep an eye on the kitchen area. This KitchenAid pots and pans set is currently $74.98 at 50% off.
These dinnerware sets were also 50% off and priced at $24.98.
I hope everyone has lots of fun shopping on Thursday!! You know I want to see photos. Post them on Facebook, or email them to me at [email protected] so I can share them on the blog.

I went to the Redmond Target tonight after dinner, and found hardly anything worthwhile. I was very disappointed with the selection and/or quality of items that will go on clearance. (I checked amazon tonight on the few items I was interested in – like the Thomas the Tank Engine tent, at 70% off will go for $9+ – and found very poor reviews for those items.) So, don’t feel like you missed out – I suspect everyone has already bought all the fun, interesting toys that weren’t built poorly.

Fox River Mall, Appleton WI went 70% off this morning (Jan 12th). The Lego is still at 50% off. Everything was marked down already when I got there at 8.30am.
I was also able to find Krave cereal by Kelloggs for 74 cents on a random end cap. And a pool for 94 cents.

Went to the Henderson NV store this morning but stuff was still 15-50% off. They may have been getting ready to mark it down but were busy in other sections first. One employee did tell me that it will ring up at the higher discount even if they don’t scan it with their scanners, but the price checkers will not have the new lower price. I didn’t try it out, but thought that was good to know.
Guess I will try a little later today.

Targets in Princeton, NJ are at 70% – who-hoo! I made it into one just as employees had started scanning and found some great deals. I spent around $240 for over $700 worth of toys, and I am completely set for upcoming birthdays – both family and friends. I’ll email a photo and list of my haul for your post!
