I had a reader alert me to the fact that the summer clearance is now 90% off at a local store!! This discount was found at the Renton Landing Target. Let me know if you find the same discount at your store too.
Some things to remember:
- The signs at your store may not have changed, scan an item to see if it is 90% off. Don’t trust those signs!
- You WILL NOT find red clearance stickers on these items, they are marked down automatically via a computer, just like the holiday clearance is.
- This summer clearance is found in a special area at Target (just like you would find the Halloween or Christmas items). They are usually NOT mixed in with the summer type items found by the toys.
- Clearance will vary by each location, so the 90% off markdown may not have taken place at your store yet, if not assume it will happen soon.

This morning I purchased a stainless steel water bottle from the summer clearance and was pleasantly surprised to have it ring up as 90% off rather than the posted 75%. This was at the Bellingham Target.
Both the South Hill Target and Sunrise Target had them marked down to 90% today. Signs not matching up with what was coming off. Bonus!

I got the waterslide in your picture at 90% off ($0.49!) in San Jose CA. The summer stuff was completely gone; these were mixed in with the other pool toys, swim fins, and baby pools. I tried some other items from the same aisle (pool floats, multi-lane slide, and one other thing I can’t remember) but none of them scanned as on sale at all so I put them back.

Renton target had nothing. Really not worth the trip. they had a few pool dive ring things, about 10 plates, and a handful of water bottles.
