Painting your home is a fairly inexpensive way to freshen things up. I love having color on most of my walls. Even though paint is inexpensive compared to some home improvement items, the cost can still ad up fairly quickly. Whenever I am at a home improvement store or even Fred Meyer I like to check out the “oops” paint. These are the paints that have been mixed and didn’t match the color exactly, or maybe they were mixed with the wrong finish. The great thing is most places mark down these gallons to only $5.00. That is a huge savings! You can also find 5 gallon paints for larger areas, usually marked at only $15.00. I like painting the bathrooms in my house with the “oops” paint because 1 gallon is enough to do the entire job, so I just keep looking until I find a color I like. I was able to paint one of our bathrooms with a really pretty blue, if I was looking at paint chips I would have totally picked the color out. So, if you are looking to make some improvements and aren’t in a hurry, check out the “oops” paint at your stores. They usually stack them together in the paint section
Here is a look at the paint I bought for our bathroom. Since we are moving we have to do a lot of re-painting. The current color in my bathroom is a green color which I love, but it is definitely not for everybody. I knew I wanted to repaint it a neutral color. When I was at Home Depot I happened upon this beige color in a semi-gloss that is recommended for bathrooms. I was thrilled!
