The danger of swallowing batteries is a very real problem when it comes to young children and their common habit of putting small things in their mouths. Rayovac has created a new robust packaging for their coin-sized batteries which will deter children from accessing the batteries entirely.
Here are some of the changes Rayovac is making:
- Updated warning on the front and back side of battery packs.
- Updated warning icon & warning copy to better inform consumers.
- Improved packaging structur.
- Later, in 2013 Rayovac will be imprinting warnings on the actual batteries to increase awareness even when the packaging is discarded.
