Here’s a fun treat for your pup! My daughter always has to make a special treat for our dog Bailey’s birthday, and this has been such a big hit. It’s a fun way to celebrate for you and your dog.
Peanut Butter Pupcakes
Recipe was found at Damn Delicious (on of my all-time favorite recipe sites)
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/4 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 carrots peeled and shredded
Frosting:
- 4 oz cream cheese, room temp
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 6 small dog biscuits
Preheat 350. Line a 6 cup standard muffin tin with paper liners. Set aside.
In large bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, pumpkin, apple sauce, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until combined. Stir in carrots and thenscoop batter evenly into muffin pan. Place in oven and bake for 15-20 minute. Remove from oven and cool completely on wire rack before frosting.
In mixing bowl combine cream cheese and peanut butter and blend until combined. Add to pastry bag with decorated tip to frost cupcakes. Garnish with favorite dog treat if desired. Your puppy will love it!

- 6 small dog biscuits
Instructions
- Preheat 350 degrees
- Line a 6 cup standard muffin tin with paper liners (set aside)
- In large bowl, combine flour, oats, baking powder, pumpkin, apple sauce, vegetable oil, and eggs
- Mix until combined
- Stir in carrots and then scoop batter evenly into muffin pan
- Place in oven and bake for 15-20 minute
- Remove from oven and cool completely on wire rack before frosting
Frosting:
- In mixing bowl combine cream cheese and peanut butter and blend until combined
- Add to pastry bag with decorated tip to frost cupcakes
- Garnish with favorite dog treat if desired
