I’m sharing my Exercise Room Inspiration as part of a sponsored post for Olympic Paints Stains and The Motherhood. #Bringonthecolor
My 3 oldest boys have moved out and onto different states for college or different countries for a mission. With 3 kids gone we now have 2 empty rooms that we get to repurpose and redo. We knew we wanted to turn one of the rooms into an office/craft space for me (Maybe WE is the wrong word, I know that’s what I wanted to do with one of the rooms). We decided to turn the second bedroom into an exercise room. We can finally take the treadmill and power tower out of the garage! I’m not sure why I am so excited to have a room specifically for exercising, I don’t even like to exercise that much. I think a bright fun room might make exercising more enjoyable.
The first step in re-doing the room is to re-paint, so we stopped by the Olympic Paints and Stains Color Center exclusively at Lowe’s for some color inspiration. We usually tend to go with neutrals or pastels when we paint and we figured this time around we’d go for something a little more bold. Well, one wall is going to be bold, the other three are going to be grey. We can’t go bold all at once, that would just be crazy! Originally we were thinking about a bright yellow, but once I saw the fun blue shade of Bellflower I knew that would be a great way to brighten up the room. We figured we could do some accent colors in yellow.
The Olympic Paints and Stains Color Center at Lowe’s is a great resource for inspiration, whether you are looking for light pastels to darker shades, the new Olympic Paints and Stains Color Center has the right shade for everyone. They even have a helpful guide that shows the different type of finishes from flat to high gloss. You can view the color inspiration for your room or project in 3 different ways:
- Color (with the the paint chips)
- Lifestyle (lifestyle brochures)
- Project (room and project brochures)
I love that even the paint chips are inspirational! You will find a photo of a room and suggestions for trim and accent colors on the back of each paint chip card. I am in love with the Kingston Aqua color and I am already planning my next project with that color in mind.
