I had a great Target trip today, I was thrilled to find a store with the Bop-It XT in-stock. I paid $20.00 for everything here, the retail price was $132. I know I have said this about 100 times, but I LOVE TARGET!!!
Did you notice the Cars Lego? I saw it on a clearance endcap and remember it being part of the 70% off clearance in January. I headed to a scanner to check the price and I got the dreaded “Item not Found”. This usually means that it has been salvaged. Every time I get that message they usually tell me they can’t sell me the item. Not this time! They couldn’t find the price, so they sold it to me for $5.48. SCORE!!! The retail price was $29.99.
I was so happy! It’s funny how a little box of Lego’s can make me happy. I think I love Lego’s almost as much as my kids, it’s fun to work together to assemble them. Can’t wait until my son and I can work on this one!
Let me know what your favorite item was that you picked up at Target this week.

gosh thats awesome!! I wish I could score @ my local target like that! Is there a specific day to go on??
@Ashley Most of these items were just sale and regular priced items that I got a good deal on because I stacked a Target coupon with a manufacturer coupon.
If you are looking for clearance deals, they mark down certain departments on certain days, so if you are looking for something specific, it would be best to go on the day that department is marked down.
You can find the schedule here: https://www.thriftyandthriving.com/2011/10/target-training-how-target-marks-down-their-clearance-items/
I just scored the Disney vanity for $12. It was marked down to $26.99, used the 50% Disney coupon brought the total down to 13.49) and also used my 10% coupon Members Rewards card which brought my total down to $12. The original price was $89.99. Saving it for a xmas gift for my niece!! LOVE TARGET!!!
You are making me want to go back and try my luck again!
I went to Target today too with coupons in hand. Spent $49 and saved $169!! Stocked up my gift supply for all the birthdays that will come around this year and still have leftovers for Christmas 🙂
If they are out of stock of an item (game?) can you get a rain check? Then use the coupons on them another time? Just wondering. I don’t have time to run from store to store but I really want some games!
@Beth Yes, you should be able to get a rain check for the game, but you won’t be able to get the FREE card game with the rain check, just the sale price of the game.
I hit my local Target today and got 2 of the Scrabble Flash games for $5 ea., but they were out of the free card games, so the clerk let me choose any of the other non-Hasbro card games instead!!! Yeah!! I also got a Strawberry Shortcake Memory game for $1.04. My favorite score was the Belle’s Tea Party Story Tellers set; it was regularly $33.18 on sale for $19.99 and then I used the in-ad coupon for 50% off and only paid $9.99 !!! I also did the deal on the children’s Claritin – great deal!!! Happy shopping to all…….
Hi, does anyone know how to get a copy of the Target 5.00 off coupon for the board games? they took it off their coupon page.
@Christy Sadly, I don’t think there is anyway to get the game coupon now that they reached their print limit.
I think they took the board game coupons down because next week some of the games will be marked down to $5 – per totallytarget – and then they’d be free! I’m SO bummed that I already picked up memory, chutes & ladders, and candyland this week. Darn it!
I don’t live real close to a Target anymore (I know, I know, tears of sadness) so this week didn’t involve a target trip for us. I love your new lego set though, what a fantastic deal you got!
