I was going through the documents on my Google Drive when I came across this little gem. My son loves football, he loves to play it, he loves to watch it and he loves to talk about it. Players, positions, teams, he loves it all. We have a “no TV” rule at our house on Sundays which means he doesn’t watch the NFL football games on Sunday, but he often records the games and watches them the next day with his dad. This week he was up at 4:00 a.m. in order to watch the Superbowl on Monday before school.
Anyway, to help his cause, and maybe avoid the early Monday morning routine, he decided to write a letter to the NFL to see if he could get the games switched to Saturday. I’m pretty sure he thought he’d have a better chance convincing the NFL to change the games to Saturday than convincing his parents he could watch TV on Sunday. Here at our house, we like to keep our Sunday’s “nice and calm”.

We were actually discussing doing the same thing! We enjoy hanging out with friends to watch the Super Bowl, but we all have school & work on Monday!

As I get older, I would love football on Saturdays too! So I can sleep in the next morning. Mondays are doubly tough for fans sometimes. I support your kid’s initiative.
