I was reading some of my favorite blogs last night, and I came across THIS post from Heather Ann. I thought what she did with her daughters jeans was so cute and clever, so I wanted to pass the information on to my readers.
Heather has decided that this year she is going to be buying less, she shared a quote that she found that says “nothing new – make do”. Love that! She mentioned that her older daughter is a little rough on her jeans, so in order to pass them on to her younger daughter, they were in need of some repair. Her finished jeans were super cute, and something her younger daughter was excited to wear.
I’ll be honest, I am not much of a sewer, and I probably would have just gotten rid of those ripped jeans. Heather’s idea is super easy, even I could do it. She even used extra fabric she had around the house. I don’t think my teenage boys will let me put hearts and flowers on their pants, but I now have a great idea to use next time my daughters jeans get a rip in them. Thanks for your great idea and letting me share Heather!
Head on over Heather’s blog for all the information on how she made these. Do some checking around while you are there, she is super talented and creative. She also has a digital design store called Heather Ann Designs.
