Description
This Lemon Angel Food Cake is light, airy and bursting with flavor!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 TBSP fresh lemon juice
- 2 TBSP half and half
- 1 cup water
- 1 box angel food cake mix
Glaze:
- 2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 TBSP lemon juice
- Water, for desired consistency
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350
- In a mixing bowl, add lemon juice, half and half, and water
- Gradually add in the angel food cake mix
- Beat the cake mix for 60 seconds with electric mixer
- Pour the batter into an uncreased angel food cake pan
- Bake 45 minutes or until top is golden brown
- Allow the cake to cool upside down in the pan
- When the cake reaches room temperature, run a metal spatula along the edges of pan to remove the cake
- In a small mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, lemon juice, milk or and as much water as is needed to reach your desired consistency
- Pour the glaze over the cake, allowing it to fall down the sides of the cake
- Garnish the top with lemon slices
