I love that blackberries are so readily available here in the Northwest. When August rolls around I try to make as many things as I can with blackberries. I make homemade Blackberry Syrup, Blackberry Jam, Blackberry Cheese Danish, Blackberry Cobbler and now I have a Blackberry drink to add to my list of blackberry recipes.
Here are the simple ingredients you need for this Iced Blackberry-Mint Green Tea:
- 6 cups of hot water
- 6 Lipton Green Tea tea bags
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1/3 cup mint leaves
- 1 1/2 TBSP honey (optional)
Add fresh blackberries and mint to bottom of pitcher. Using a muddler crush blackberries and mint.
Add 6 tea bags to pitcher, pour in 6 cups of boiling water
Add honey if you prefer you tea sweetened. Stir and let steep for 10 minutes.
Chill in fridge and serve with over ice. You can strain out the crushed blackberries and mint if you wish because the flavors are infused into the tea. Enjoy!
