I just had to share with you what my oldest son made me for Christmas, it was just so darn thoughtful. I totally cried!!
He took a lamp and adhered family photos to it. Don’t worry! We plan on posting all the details, so you can make your own.
This is what it looks like when it is all lit up. Seriously, one of the sweetest things ever!! Plus, he’s a teenager…and a boy! Makes it all the more amazing!
Did you receive any thoughtful gifts this year? I would love to hear about them.

What a sweet, thoughtful gift. Love it. Can’t wait to see the tutorial.
Wow, you have trained your children well! What a thoughtful and beautiful present! Looking forward to the details! 🙂
Kudos to you and your husband for raising such a thoughtful teenager.
Wow…that is an awesome gift. Not to mention he had to “make” your gift instead of going shopping.
Besides having the best Christmas with hosting a family party at my house and being with all my boys on Christmas (hubby & kids)…my oldest son (5yrs) made me a candy cane ornament(pipe cleaners & beads) attached w/ his school picture on a paper star. He also decorated the bag & a card including writing merry Christmas & I love mom. Almost best Christmas ever (missing my step-daughter who had Christmas with her mom & family).
Our 20-year-old daughter painted us a 16 x 20 canvas picture with grass, daisies, sun and sky with one of my favorite Bible verses on it. It is beautiful and we love it soo much more than any gift she could have bought at the store!! 🙂
WOW! He did an amazing job! Looks great! What a sweet and thoughtful gift!
Hi, I am Christy also (same spelling). I’m 48 and have had an amazing life, up until about 8 years ago when it all came crashing down on me. Lost my career, moved back to the states where my friends and family (I thought) wanted me, proceeded to have to sell my home, lost ALL of my money (substantial). Fell into deep depression, and I think if my best friend of 42 years had stepped up to the plate and helped me when I was still in the early stages, I would’ve been okay. Now two suicide attempts later, I am forced to live with my mother and I tried to write to her but it came out all wrong. I’m wondering how I can deliver the message on a more positive note that I just need love to survive. Many blessings for a beautiful holiday season with your family.
Just wondering where he got that lamp?
It was from IKEA
