I made this Christmas Countdown last year, and we took it so we can enjoy it again this year. I cut the numbers from scrapbook paper, and then cut some self stick business card magnets and applied them to the back of each number (we had the magnets left over from a project we did for church). On the back of each number is an activity that we can do as a family during each day of December. One December 1st, we would do the activity that is on the back of #1. I looked at our calendar and planned events that would work with our schedule. If we were going to a holiday event then I put that down for that day. On days that we were going to be home, I have us baking cookies, reading Christmas stories, etc.
Here are all 25 numbers stuck to our refrigerator. Each day one of the kids will take the coordinating number off of the fridge and we will do the activity that is written on the back.
Here is a close-up of some of the numbers, you can see I added some bling and buttons to dress them up a bit.
Here is what the back looks like and a few of our Christmas activities that we will be doing during the month of December.
You can fill December with lots of inexpensive family activities to help you celebrate the season and spend some quality time together as a family. Enjoy!
