Thanks to a reader for alerting me to this great freebie. On Saturday, September 26 you can get FREE admission to certain museums across the country thanks to Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day. You can read all about it HERE and see if there is a museum in your area that is participating.
I checked and there are a TON of participating museums here in Washington including the Museum of Glass (Tacoma), Experience Music Project, Science Fiction Museum & Hall of Fame (Seattle), Bellevue and Seattle Art Museums. There are lots more listed (some I haven’t even heard of before).
I have been wanting to go to some of these places for awhile. Unfortunately, we have a family reunion planned on the 26th, so I won’t be able to attend. If you don’t have any plans it would be a great day to check out a museum for FREE. I’m all about fun FREE family activities!
