Today I am sharing some photos from our Disney meals. We scheduled 2 character breakfasts, and 1 dinner at O’hana. The meal we had at O’hana was the best tasting Disney meal we ever had. Plus, the service was great and there was lots of fun for the kids too.
TIP: If you are planning a character breakfast, I would skip Chef Mickey’s (Contemporary resort) and instead go for the breakfast at Cape May (Beach Club resort). Here are a few reasons why:
- Cape May is cheaper.
- Cape May has mostly the same characters as Chef Mickey’s.
- Chef Mickey’s is very popular, which means it is crowded and noisy. Plus, the characters don’t really get to stay at your table too long. They take a photo, sign autographs and they are off to the next table. At Cape May we had a lot more character interaction because it wasn’t overly crowded.
- The wait for a table is shorter.
We much preferred our character breakfast at Cape May over the one at Chef Mickey’s.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Ohana!! We make that a point EVERY visit!! I love to get reservations for a 7-ish dinner and then go down to the Beach @ the Polynesian, curl up on a lawn chair, and watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom! That is one of THE BEST Fireworks Views in the whole compound (that doesn’t entail a pricey room) Plus on a cooler night you can here the music also. It gets a little crowded but not bad if you get there early enough for a lawn chair its a great place to relax for a bit! (And the kids can play in the sand!)
