What to Expect at Costco (October 2019)

Here is a peek at some of the new items, coupon savings and markdowns you can find at Costco in October.  We are seeing new items for the holidays show up including some popular toys for the kids.  A new Costco coupon book was released and the coupon savings are valid October 2-27.  Keep in mind that Costco prices may vary a little by region.

Here are couple of Costco tips for you: If an item ends in 7, it is Costco’s version of a clearance item.   Also, if you notice an asterisk in the top right hand corner of the sign with the price, that means it is a seasonal item and will not be stocked again (it may come back next year, but it won’t be re-stocked after the current supply is depleted).

New Items

My store has just stocked American Girl dolls this week.  These are priced at $119.99 and there are 3 different options to choose from, choose Gabriela, Luciana or Tenney.

Costco has a really nice Weighted Blanket by Pendleton!

This Sunbeam heated throw is really nice too.  There are several different designs and they are priced at $29.99.

LEGO Advent calendars at in-stock once again this year.  There are two different designs and they are priced at $22.99.

This Stanley Jr tool set would make a cool gift.

I love this Melissa & Doug Wooden Town and Vehicles Play set, it’s $19.99.  Melissa & Doug was a popular at our house when our kids were little.

Dream Careers Barbie with lots of outfits is priced at $19.99.

Another fun set is this set of Disney Princess figurines, for $19.99.

DIY Bath Bombs set is $13.99 and looks like lots of fun.

Be the cool house in the neighborhood and pick up a classic video game.  Go for Pac-Man!  It’s only $349.99.

There are some fun new items in the kitchen department.  This 3-tier serving tray looks nice.

New Pyrex mixing bowls with lids for $14.99.

These vases are really pretty and super solid.  

Christmas is in the house!  They have Christmas trees in several different sizes.  

Tall decorative lantern is priced at $59.99.  That seems kind of pricey to me, but the candle flickers so maybe that’s worth the extra money.  It is really pretty though!  I am guessing we will see these marked down sometime in November.

Set of 3 glass candles with reindeers are $39.99, which also seems kind of expensive to me.  I like to get my Christmas decorations after Christmas for 90% off.  (I know many of you do too)!

They have artificial Christmas wreaths with lights for $39.99.   Next month we should see the fresh wreaths available.  I love those!

Get Lipstick Queen lip gloss for $12.99.   I haven’t heard of this brand before, if you’ve used it I’d love to hear your thoughts.  There were lots of pretty shades.

Costco has some The North Face jacket for men.   These are priced at $159.99.

There are some fun interactive books for kids.   I’m all about giving books for Christmas!  It’s even more fun when they are books like this that help them to learn and have fun at the same time.

Make sure you check the gift cards, they often bring in new ones this time of year.  Many of them are great for gifting!

With Christmas drawing near we of course have all the candy and treats associate with the holidays.  Lots of lots of Peppermint goodness.

Monthly Deals

I love this Vintage Lazy Susan that is on sale this month.   This thing is huge!  It’s only $23.99 (reg $29.99).

If you are one of the ten people that don’t already own an Instant Pot you can save $20 this month.

The Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner has a high value $6 off coupon making them only $11.99.

Now it the time to stock up on Scotch Tape for the holidays.

Get this 3-pack of scissors for only $5.99.  This is such a great deal, these scissors are awesome!

I was super excited to see this deal.  I’ve only mentioned 18 times that we love this Love Crunch Granola at our house.  It’s seriously a staple!  You can get these big bags for only $5.99.  This is an AMAZING price, the super small bags sell for $3.99 at the grocery store.  There is a limit of 2.  (Darn)!

There is some nice savings on Nutella.  Nutella is a must for our holiday celebrations because we serve crepes every year.  My favorite it Nutella and strawberries.  Yum!  Is anybody else bummed that they no longer carry the Kirkland brand of this chocolate hazelnut spread?  I actually liked it a little better than Nutella.  I thought it was easier to spread.

Something new and on sale!  We tried this Skillet Gnocchi Kit for dinner the other night and it was pretty good.  We added some leftover chicken from our Costco Street Tacos to make it a little more like a meal.

Nice savings on Chicken Nuggets this month, save $4 and get them for only $8.49.

We had some Stroopwafels on our trip to Amsterdam and they were so good.  I was thrilled to see these were on sale this month at Costco.  I bought a box and I have plans to dip half  of it in chocolate, add some sprinkles and then put them in bags and gift the treats at Christmas time. You will save $2.70 and get this big box for only $6.29. I just love Costco!

This looks like a yummy snack!  You’ll save $3.20 and get them for $6.79.

There is a nice price on the Annie’s fruit snacks.  Save $3.60 and get them for $8.29.

Another staple at our house are these Tillamook snacking cheese, so I was thrilled to see a coupon for them this month.  They are only $9.39.   

Markdowns

Here is a peek at the markdowns I found at my Costco.  These are the types of deals that will vary from store to store, but it is fun to walk up and down each aisle to see what kind of deals you can find.

These Contigo Shake & Go Tumblers were priced right at $14.97 for the 3-pack.

I mentioned these last month, but I was totally surprised to still find a bunch in stock.  This is a steal!  I bought them and we have been using them all the time.  I highly recommend, especially at this price.

I found these storage baskets marked down to $34.97.

I love this Lodge Cast Iron Combo Cooker, especially at the great price of $24.97.

I found a couple of different types of candles marked down.

These are a must if you have a college student!  This price is incredible!  These would be great to hang up things at Christmas time, no need to poke extra holes in your wall, just use the handle Command strips and hangers.

Backpacks marked down to $19.97.

This tailgating table was only $15 (reg $40).

College canopies were down to $70 (reg $169.99).  Wow!
