Here is a peek at some of the new items and great deals you will find at Costco in January. There are tons of deals on stuff for the new year like vitamins. January always brings new furniture deals and we also see deals on school and office supplies. A new coupon book was released and the prices are valid through January 27th. Keep in mind that Costco prices may vary a little by region.
Here are couple of Costco tips for you: If an item ends in 7, it is Costco’s version of a clearance item. Also, if you notice an asterisk in the top right hand corner of the sign with the price, that means it is a seasonal item and will not be stocked again (it may come back next year, but it won’t be re-stocked after the current supply is depleted).
I’m starting this off with a super markdown I found on a Cuisinart 6-piece knife set with blade guards. It was only $9.97 for the set. Wow! That makes each knife only $1.66 each.
This is an amazing price on a nice sized dining room table. It’s normally $899.99, but with the extra savings it’s only $699.99. I was really impressed with the set.
Here is another great discounted piece of furniture. I loved this one! We are in need of new bedroom furniture so I’m giving this one some serious thought. There are pieces that coordinate with this one too.
Lots of pretty new furniture pieces are in-stock, but you will need to buy soon, they don’t stay around very long.

Nice markdown on a Blendtec. We had one and we loved it, it recently bit the dust and we replaced it with a Vitamix. I’m not 100% certain yet, but I think I may have liked my Blendtec better. I’ll keep you updated! If you have one, which do you prefer?
7 piece kitchen brush set is $15.99. I don’t know if your kids are like ours but they do better cleaning the dishes if they don’t actually have to touch the yucky stuff. This totally helps with that!
I admire this basket every year that it comes back in stock. I don’t really have an ideal place to put it. I think it would come in handy in a bathroom too.
Pretty bowls down to $13.99.
Save $5 on this Pyrex set and get them for only $12.99.
Save a whopping $20 on this Conair interchangeable curling wand. I think this is such a clever idea, you can just buy one instead of having to buy several different size wands. I also love that it comes with a handy carrying pouch.
Save $4 on this 3-pack of Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant and get it for $9.99 (reg $13.99).

Here is a new cereal that I spotted, it looks so yummy, but was kind of pricey. This box is $12.99. It does say the first ingredient is almonds, so it should be packed with good stuff. Let me know if you’ve tried this, I’d love to hear what you think.
I’m totally bummed they replaced my favorite Love Crunch Raspberry with the Peanut Butter flavor, nothing against Peanut Butter but I love the Raspberry flavor and I loved that I could get a deal on it at Costco. It’s not cheap to buy the small bags at the grocery store. These bags are $7.99.
Nice sale price on Kokiak Cakes Power Cakes.
And because every month must include something chocolate, these are to die for. Yum!!
There is also a new White Cheddar Cheese flavor of Skinny Pop Popcorn.
I always love checking out the book section, there are lots of new organization books, cookbooks and this fun book on succulents.

We’ve had our vitamix for 20 years and love it! My inlaws have had theirs for over 40 years. For a long time I would tell people why vitamix’s were better. But then at one point they had the same warranty and there wasn’t many benefits of one over the other. I wonder which really would be better? But if your blendtec has died it makes me think the fact that vitamix has been around since the 1920’s might give them edge on life expectancy for the blender. How old was your blendtec?

Hi Amanda,
Thanks for sharing your experience. My Blendtec lasted about 8 years, and sadly It was damaged because of user error (it was dropped outside when we were taking it somewhere). I think they are both great machines, but our primary use for the blender is making smoothies and I don’t know if we are doing something wrong, but it just doesn’t blend smoothies as well as our Blendtec did. If you have any tips I’d love to hear them!

When I was there yesterday, the big cans of peanuts were buy one get one free and I think $6.99 was the starting price for one. Lots of people walked by with multiple in their cart!
