Description
This Caramel Apple Bark is the perfect treat to kick off the season!
Ingredients
- 16 oz bag of chocolate chips
- 1 green apple, diced
- 1 TBSP of fresh lemon juice
- 35 individual wrapped caramels
- 16 oz bag of pretzels
Instructions
- Line a 9×12 pan with foil
- Add 1 3/4 cup of chocolate chips to the pan and bake in oven for 5 minutes at 325
- Remove from oven and use a spatula to evenly spread the melted chocolate, covering the entire pan
- Add a layer of pretzels
- Dice your apple and add to a bowl with 1 cup of water and 1 TBSP of fresh lemon juice
- Mix thoroughly and pour onto a paper towel
- Gently dab them dry of any excess moisture
- Unwrap caramels and microwave in 20 second intervals until melted and smooth
- Spread over top of pretzels and add apple slices on top of that
- Move to fridge and let sit for 30 minutes
- Microwave 1/4 cup chocolate chips in 15 second intervals until melted and smooth
- Drizzle over the top of bark. Let sit in fridge for an hour before breaking bark into bite size pieces
- Store in fridge until ready to serve. (best if enjoyed with in 24 hours)
