I have mentioned previously that we have a rule at our house that if you want to see a movie that is based on a book, you have to read the book first. So, with The Fault in Our Stars coming out soon I knew I had to get reading. I am so glad I did, what a great book!
Amazon currently has the Kindle edition of The Fault in Our Stars priced at only $4.99. I actually put the book on hold at the library, but it took a long time to get because everybody and they brother wants to read the book. I actually bought the book today at this price because I know it’s one I will want to read more than once. This book has over 15,000 reviews on Amazon and most of them rave about the book.
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.
Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars brilliantly explores the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.
I will say that I generally don’t read books with foul language and this book as some, but it wasn’t too much and I guess if you are dealing with cancer there is probably going to be some swearing involved.

I love your idea of having your family read the book first if they want to see the movie. My girls are to young to read now, but I will definitely be using that rule when they get older. Thanks for the great idea! Oh and I’m going to have to check out this book too.
