Look at those little red stickers, don’t you just love those? While in San Diego, I stopped at a Target to scope out the clearance. Isn’t that what everybody does on vacation? I found these items that I am going to add to my gift giving bin, all items were 75% off.
American Girl Mia book – $1.54 (reg. $6.95) This will make a great stocking stuffer for my daughter (I think about Christmas gifts year round)
Soap & Glory Gift Set – $6.25 (reg. $25.00) I think this set is totally over-priced at regular price, I had to seriously think if I wanted to buy it at $6.00. I thought it would make a great gift for teenage girls, so I went ahead and bought two. I don’t have many gifts stashed away for the teenage crowd.
If you shop at Target, there is a good chance you will find clearance items marked down to 75% off. If you buy the items now, and save them for later, it will save you a TON of money. You can find out more about Target’s clearance schedule in this post HERE.
Here is a little tip for you, if you are there on a Monday, make sure you head to the electronics and other items they mark down that day first. You won’t want to miss out on any good deals. Don’t be sucked into the dollar spot, all of those items will still be there later.
I totally missed out on a 75% off Star Wars Lego once, because I was meandering through the store. When I finally got back to the toy clearance somebody pick up the Lego just before me. I had to secretly follow them around for 5 minutes hoping they would put it back. If I had just headed straight to the toys when I walked in, that Lego would have been mine. Have I mentioned I love Lego’s? They are so much fun for the kids and the moms and dads. FUN, FUN, FUN! Anyway, I learned my lesson that day to head straight to the departments that are getting marked down that day.
