During the month of November, as the fall leaves turn yellow and orange, many families are naturally drawn to Thanksgiving day preparations and the upcoming holiday season. Celebrating Thanksgiving each year provides us an opportunity to reflect on our lives and to more consciously voice our gratitude for the blessings that we have. In line with the theme of gratitude this month, it seems fitting that Veteran’s Day is a precursor to Thanksgiving. As such, I want to take a moment to stop and thank all those Veterans who have made sacrifices so that we can enjoy the liberties and freedoms that this great country provides. Whether currently active or having served in the past, the brave men and women of our armed forces, and the families who often sacrifice with them, unselfishly give of themselves to help preserve the blessings found in this wonderful nation. Thank you so much. Our gratitude should be expressed throughout the year, and your silent service too often goes unappreciated, but today, I join with countless others to say sincerely and simply, “Thank you”. Your sacrifices are profoundly appreciated and will never be forgotten. May God bless you all.
