I just want to thank all of you for making this year’s Target toy clearance so much fun! It was great having everyone post the stores that were marked down to 75% off. Plus, I loved hearing and seeing what everyone got. You all are the best!!!
If you are new to my blog, I hope you will stick around and enjoy the coupons and deals I share. I post Target match-ups every week, so you will be able to find cheap and FREE items at Target just by reading my blog. Please consider subscribing to my blog via email and Liking Thrifty and Thriving on Facebook.
I am sharing a photo from reader Andrea with the items that she found at her Target today. Fun stuff!!
Here is one last tip for you regarding the clearance: You may still be able to find some great deals even if things have been picked over. During the next two weeks people will be returning items and they will go back out on the sales floor. Several years ago I was able to score a HUGE Rokenbok set that somebody had returned. I was thrilled!! So, if you head to Target I would check out the toy section just to see if anything new has been returned.

I was at the Bonney Lake Target today and after going through the 75% off aisles, going to check on a few other areas of the store, and walking by the toy aisles on my way to the check-out counter, I saw a Target employee putting more toys on the shelf straight from boxes she had wheeled out from the back. Different toys than previously on the shelves–All 75% off!! You may want to check back.

I bought a bunch of toys at 50% off, then shopped again and purchased the same items at 75% yesterday. I just returned the 50% off items last night. So, I agree, keep looking! There may be more items available in these next few days!

Christy,
I was reviewing your selling on ebay tips and noticed that you mentioned that you had to resort to making most of your boxes for shipping. Please elaborate…I have a few target clearance items I want to sell on ebay and the shipping cost can really add up.
Christy says
Hi Becky,
I have never bought any boxes to ship items in. I breakdown boxes that I receive in the mail or from UPS and save them in my garage. When I need to mail stuff I just reuse one of the old boxes. I also use the FREE priority mail boxes for the USPS.
Some of the items I shipped last year were too big, so I had to create my own box by cutting and putting two boxes together.
When selling on Ebay, you shouldn’t have to pay for any of the shipping charges, you can pass the costs onto the buyer. You can even charge a little extra to pay for your packing supplies too.

Thanks for the shipping tips:-)
