My family and I had the chance to try out the new Just Dance 4
for the Xbox Kinect.  We own 2 other of the Just Dance games for the Wii, so we were looking forward to trying out this game for the Kinect.  We loved that a controller wasn’t required, it was easier to get into the dances with your whole body.
If you are unfamiliar with the concept of Just Dance, you basically mirror the moves of an on-screen dancer. There are prompts that display all upcoming changes in moves, so you can know what moves are coming up. You are graded on how well you pull these moves off. The game itself is tons of fun, and we love that it can be played with a group of people.
Here are some of the features of the game:
- Top Of The Charts – Just Dance 4 has over 40 all-new songs, ranging from current Billboard hits, legendary favorites, and classic dance party tracks!
- Just Dance-Off! – Challenge your friends in 6 rounds of dance battles with the all-new battle mode!
- Bring Your Crew – Each player can get his own moment of fame with unique choreographies and moves for each member of your dance crew.
- Just Sweat It Out – The popular Just Sweat mode gets a major upgrade with brand new workout sessions, personalized programs, live feedbacks and a real calorie counter.
There is a great selection of 40 different songs, so there is something to make everyone happy (except for maybe any older teen brothers that have to listen to Justin Beiber…just one more time).
We actually broke out a Just Dance game last Thanksgiving and everyone had a ball. Â The teens had a great time laughing at the parents, as we tried to mimic the online dancers. If you are looking to work off some of the Thanksgiving dinner I encourage you do give Just Dance a try, it’s actually more of a workout than you think.
Â
The one problem we had with the game play was selecting the songs via the menu on the TV screen. The great news is there is a new product update, to make choosing the games much easier:
