I was contacted to see if I would be interested in driving around a Kia Sorento for a week in exchange for an honest review. Since, I am currently driving a 10 year old minivan (without working A/C) I thought it would be fun to give something new a try, so I agreed!
I’m going to be honest, it was love at first sight! I thought it was sporty looking and was sure it was going to be fun to drive. I am a Mom with 5 kids, so I do a lot of driving to play practices, meetings, sports, and more. Since I spend lots of time in the car, it helps if it’s fun to hang out in.
I was looking forward to getting the key and taking it for a spin, only there was no key! Maybe I am clueless, but I had no idea they make cars without keys. This totally intrigued me. I was told as long as I had the key fob with me (in my purse or pocket) it would unlock and start.
As a person that loses their keys on a regular basis, I thought this was the COOLEST THING EVER!! I left the key fob in my purse the entire time and never ever had to take them out. I loved this feature, way more than I thought I would, I never had to dig around in my purse to find the keys. It was fabulous! I totally need to get a sweet feature like this for the front door of my house.
If you are like me and didn’t know they made keyless cars, you are probably wondering how does the car start. It starts with the simple push of a button. Did I mention this feature was way cool. (Please keep in mind the cars I am currently driving were made in 1992 and 2002, so these high tech features kind of excite me.)
The car has a built in backup camera which makes it easy to see what is behind you. This comes in handy for any bikes or scooters that may have been left in the driveway. That happens at your house too, right?
The built in navigation system was also a wonderful feature to have. Now, I can find my way to any Target in the whole United States without any problem!
One more feature that I totally fell in love with is the seat warmers. They also have a seat cooling feature.
There is tons of cargo room in the back. Plus, as an added bonus the back had a seat that folded down, which comes in handy if you need extra seats in the car, and since I have 5 kids there was a time or two when I needed that extra seat.
I have shared lots of the features that I loved about the car, but I bet you are wondering how it drove? Well, it drove like a dream. It was easy to maneuver and I found the seats very comfortable. It was smooth and just plain fun to drive! In all honesty, I absolutely loved this car. I even have plans to look at buying a Kia Sorento when my minivan finally dies (I am a drive it until it dies kind of gal).
The Kia Sorento starst out at $23,150, so I will have to start saving my pennies. Kia vehicles come with a 10-year, 100,000 mile warranty too, which sounds pretty amazing to me.
I was a little bit sad when they came to pick up the Kia Sorento a week later. Driving around in my 2002 minivan isn’t nearly as much fun as the sporty Kia Sorento!
I was not compensated for my review, all opinions are 100% my own (especially the part about how I think the keyless entry is the COOLEST THING EVER!)

Welcome to the world of new tech:) What they don’t tell you is to replace one of the key fobs runs about $300. My spare was in my purse that was stolen and I wanted it replaced. Needless to say it didn’t happen. ):
P.S. there are FORDS and other cars that will remotely start your car and warm it up too.
