It looks as if the Target toy clearance is holding steady this week at only 30 and 50% off. I honestly think the big markdown will happen the last week of July, just like it did last year. It could happen next week too, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Here are a couple of items that I have seen on clearance, that you should be able to pick up at 75% off, if they are still around when they markdown takes place. Both of these items have additional deals or discounts with them, so I wanted to point them out.

I have seen the Bakugan Tag Reader book on clearance, there may be other titles on clearance, but this is the only one I have seen so far. Does Target do price adjustments if the price drops within a certain time period? If you buy the toys at 50% off and it goes to 75% off next week will Target give you the difference?

Target will not do price adjustments on clearance merchandise. If there is something I really want, I will buy it at 50% and save the receipt. If I find the item and 75% off I will buy it again, and then return the 50% off item with the 50% off receipt.
You are absolutely right that the 75% was the last week of July last year-I even noted it on my calendar.
Mine went from mostly 30 straight to 75.
So, hold out, ladies!!

On a separate note, last year Kmart did an extra 50% off their clearance toys about a week or two before. If anyone has tips on that one, please share!
Went to Univ. store as they were a week early with the Christmas toy clearance.
The toy section was reset and partly restocked (had the new Star Wars figures on the shelves). Clearance was all endcapped and on two half isles (so one isle + endcaps) Signs still read 30% and NOTHING was marked 75% exp. Uno cards, Circo baby, Toy Story Water toy–decided to scan my must haves (Didj games, lego sets, various barbie toys) no luck. Decided to scan for Toys for Tots items…JACKPOT!

I was wondering if anyone knew what day the baby gear gets marked down? I’ve been watching some baby equipment at my local store but they are mostly still at 30 % off. They have pack n plays, strollers, car seats, etc. I shopped the last target 75 % mark down for toys in January and scored some amazing deals.

Anyone know what day toys get marked down? I was at Target on Wednesday and noticed lots of toys at 30% off but was wondering when the next markdown might be,. thanks!
Hi Jackie – In years past the markdown days for the toys has been Wednesday, but I think it has switched to Thursdays. So, if you want to be safe I would check Wednesday and Thursday. I spoke with the “mark down” person at my local Target last week. She said every Target is different, mark downs happen usually on Wed or Friday, they find out via computer at 6am the morning of mark downs, and it depends on how fast they move the 30-50% merchandise. They were in the process of moving the clearance and had pallets of new toys on every end cap on Friday. I will be there at 8am just in case it happens tomorrow. If not, I’ll be back at 8am on Friday;) Good luck everyone!!!
