My pantry is in need of some serious organization. It seems like every 4 months I have to clean and reorganize the pantry, because things just get shoved where ever. I decided that this time around I want to organize it with bins and labels so that everything has its own place. My husband laughs at me, because he is pretty sure bins and labels aren’t going to solve my problem. He is probably right, I am guessing we will need to get rid of a couple of children before it will actually stay organized, however, I am willing to give it a try!
I hope to tackle the pantry this weekend and share my results with you sometime within the next 2 weeks, but before I do I have agreed to share my “before” photo with you. I really wanted to straighten it up a little before I took the picture, but I fought the urge and I decided to keep it real for all of you. So, here you go…my crazy, unorganized and overloaded pantry.
Is your pantry in need of some organization? If so, I hope you will join me in getting it organized!! So, who’s with me? Don’t forget to take a “before” and “after” picture so you can share them. Let’s aim for getting it accomplished by Wednesday, February 22nd.

@Clairissa I love her blog too! She is one amazing and organized lady. I am not certain my pantry will look pretty like her stuff when I am finished, but it will be organized.

It is my desire to to this, if my body/health allows (having a bad back is really slowing me down). My “pantry” is spread out over several areas, so it will be a challenge, but I REALLY want to get it organized!! Best of luck to all of you!!

@Clairissa Thanks for the link!
I deep cleaned my pantry a couple months ago and it still looks pretty good. My laundry room needs some attention though…

Okay Christy, you’re forcing me to get off my duff!! I have been putting off my office/toy closet/personal dump for way too long. This weekend it is!! Good luck to everyone on your own personal disaster areas.

Our pantry has the same problem. We have cycles where it is clean (right now) and then it gets like yours with stuff everywhere and then I take a day and organize it until it gets unbearable again. I am not sure if we will ever get to a point where it never gets unorganized. right now my big change is the baby food I have to get for my 8 month old so I had to move some stuff around to make room for the pouches. I figure once I can get rid of all the baby stuff I can make some more permanent changes.
For our pantry, I put the snacks, juice on the bottom, I have two boxes that I open all the snacks (individually packaged) into so that when the kids need a snack they can go pick it, and they can see everything that we have. Once the box starts to get low then I know it’s time for me to start getting more.

So far all I have accomplished it taking a trip to Ikea and getting some great stuff for organization. I’ve been sick and exhausted this week, so I’m hoping to get started on Monday afternoon. Here are my before pics.

Hahahaha, so the first phase of the organization of my laundry/pantry was so exciting. My thought process was positive and the Ikea shopping trip was so much fun. I’m knee deep in the second phase of my organization project and I have a name for it. I would like to call it, “put that back, no, no, no, please put that back….oh no I don’t have enough plastic containers, please go take a nap!” So, TNT how are you doing?

I got off to a really slow start, but I made some nice progress last night. I still need to head to the store to buy some organizational items. I can’t wait until it’s done!
