Today I am sharing my favorite find of the week, an item that I bought that was a super deal and just makes me happy! I am hoping you will share yours too! I headed to TJ Maxx hoping to find some great deals on a couple of items I need for my laundry room and my daughter’s room, when I spotted this:
I am a sucker for anything with polka dots – they make me happy! I have been wanting to get a piece or two from the Spode Baking Days line, and I thought this bowl looked identical to that line. The Spode line is very expensive, which is one reason why I haven’t purchased any yet.
I picked up the bowl and saw that this was in fact a bowl from the Spode Baking Days line. Happy Day! Wait! It get’s even better, because then I noticed the price tag.
Oh my goodness! Do you see that? The bowl had been marked down to $7.00!!! This bowl retails for around $50, in fact it is currently selling at Amazon for $54.10.
I skipped up to the register and bought my happy little polka dot bowl!

I had a $15 off $15 lane Bryant coupon. They had clearance 70% off lowest marked price – Shirts that were $50 were only $4.50. I bought 4 and used my q to pay just $3 for all 4! $200 worth of clothes original prices! 🙂
Well since I am living in Nicaragua I don’t get to take advantage of the deals in stores like TJ Maxx but every once in a while I come across a deal that makes me skip and it all starts at TJ Maxx. About 2 years ago I found a pair of Royal Robbins capris at TJ Maxx for about $12. I loved them so much that every time I went to TJ Maxx I would scour the racks trying to find another pair. I checked online and they retail for $60+. I searched ebay and bought a pair for $15 (used) before we came to Nicaragua. Then today I went to a local used clothing store and I found a pair of Royal Robbins capris in my size (my old pair are way too big for me now) and in a light aqua blue which is one of my favorite colors for only $1!! They fit perfectly, my favorite color and only $1!! I also found a pair of J. Crew linen pants for $1 as well. So even though I don’t have access to cheap tooth paste I can still enjoy good bargains here!!!
50% off diapers and easy UPS @ Target! W coupons I got 8 boxes for 10$ each! So excited because I have 2 kids in diapers 🙂
Free make up from Fred Meyers! Used their get free covergirl mascara when you purchase any other covergirl item, paired with $1/1 cg item, and a couple catalinas! Twice this week I’ve gotten mascara and eye shadow for free (which is all the better because CG is my preferred brand)!!!
I went to Target yesterday to return the cheap $20 bedskirt I bought the day before for our new mattress; I grabbed a Queen instead of a King. I picked up the King and right around the corner was the $50 bedskirt I really wanted marked down to $40.14 (better quality and color). I went to scan it to double-check the price and it came up at $30!!! I’ve never been so glad to buy the wrong size!
I LOVE TJ Maxx……the clearance is awesome!!! I love the clearance in the jewelry department and housewares.
Beyond the CVS/Walgreens good deals of the week, I was able to snag $100 worth of Petco gift cards for $61 on ebay. Add a coupon code to that, and I was able to get a case of premium pet food, a 40# bag of premium litter, a large bag of pet treats, a feliway diffuser and refill for 50% off… and was out OOP only for shipping ($4.99) and sales tax.
