I have been blessed with two wonderful moms in my life. One is my very own Mom, and the other is my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law is a mom to 11 children. Yes you read that right…11 children! She was even organized and orderly when she had her children, she had 6 boys followed by 5 girls. My husband is smack dab in the middle of all those kids, he is boy #6.
Here is a (slightly old) photo with her and all her children. I’m impressed by all the patience she must have had raising 11 children. I have 5 kids and I run out of patience on a regular basis. Now that my kids are getting older I realize that as the grow older and move out, you never really stop being their mom and worrying about them. My mother-in-law is a Saint! She watches over and worries about 11 children (+ their spouses) and over 50 grandchildren. She is thoughtful, sweet, crafty, and fun. I am thankful that she (and the entire family) are a part of our lives.
