Description

These Homemade Egg Rolls taste even better than Chinese take out!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage/carrot mixture
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 1 package of wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper
  • soy sauce for dipping


Instructions

  1. In frying pan break up pork and cook until browned,  remove from heat and set aside.  
  2. In large bowl add cabbage/carrot mixture,  minced garlic, ginger and onion, toss and mix together.   Season with salt and pepper. Mix into the cooked pork.
  3. Add egg roll filling onto a single wonton wrapper,  fold in two of the corners, then roll together securing final corner with an egg wash.  
  4. Deep fry at 350 degrees, cooking 3 at a time.  Cook 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally until they are a nice golden brown. Serve with soy sauce.
