These Eggnog cookies are perfect for the holiday!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 3/4 sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup egg nog
- 1 tsp vanilla
Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup eggnog
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
Instructions
- In bowl, mix together dry ingredients, flour, baking powder, baking soda, cream of tartar, and nutmeg and set aside.
- In separate mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and egg nog. Mix well.
- Mix in dry ingredients until just combined. Chill dough for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Form dough into 1 inch balls (I use my cookie scoop).
- Place onto a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat.
- Cook for 8-9 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet.
For Glaze:
- Combine powdered sugar, nutmeg, and eggnog.
- Mix well until combined.
- Drizzle on cookies.
