Description
This Caramel Apple Trifle is a tasty dessert the whole family will love!
Ingredients
- 3 Granny Smith apples diced
- 4 TBSP brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup granola
- Caramel sauce, (homemade or store bought)
Instructions
- In medium sauce pan, add diced apples, lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon and brown sugar
- Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until apple soften
- Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes
- Add heavy whipping cream to mixer, gradually add powdered sugar and blend on high speed until stiff peaks form
- Add an even layer of whipped cream into bottom of the dessert cup
- Add 2 TBSP granola in an even layer
- Drizzle with 1 TBSP Carmel sauce, then spoon in apples
- Repeat layers and finish off with a drizzle of caramel sauce
- Refrigerate for 2 hours
Notes
Trifles are best if consumed with in 1-2 days.
