We used to love going the first week of December. We loved the decorations and it’s just a nice time of year. Very few crowds at that time. We haven’t been in 2 years, they priced us out. I miss Disneyland.

We went to Legoland & Disneyland-CA-the middle of Oct recently-thinking the kids would be in school (my son has several days off then)-and were surprised how many children of all ages were there! Lines were medium-some quite long-some not bad.
Also years ago went to Epcot & Disney World on Thanksgiving vacation & were expecting terrible lines & it wasn’t bad at all!

A friend of mine who has worked at Disneyland for years said that the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are the best to visit if you want to get a lot in. I have been many, many times and decided to try the week after Thanksgiving this past year. I was AMAZED at how short the lines were. The weather in California isn’t ever terrible, and it was actually 75 degrees that day. The longest we waited in a line was about 20 minutes, and I think the longest line there was 40 minutes. It was fantastic and great since I had little kids (who aren’t so patient) with me.

We avoid going to Disneyland during peak seasons as well. If we are to go late September or October has always been great! We went once in November and the Friday we were there was veterans day. There were so many people there, they had to stop letting people in per the fire marshal…so beware! That day was not so fun!
