@Ginean I love your idea of using leftover taco meat on pizza! I have been using the leftover Taco meat in spaghetti sauce for dinner the next day and most of the family says they just don't like it. Now I have a new plan for the leftover taco meat - Taco Pizza! Thanks so much for all of your ideas!

I totally agree with all of you that said you can make your own pizza at home for an even cheaper alternative. My kids especially love to make their own small size pizzas, that way they can make it just the way they want.

@Nanci - Thanks you for the kind words, you have made my day!

Save real BIG... make your own Pizza at home! Making pizza takes little time, less than 10 minutes, esp. if you buy pre-made crust. Our family Loves Mama Mary's pizza crust which comes with two large crust in one package for under $5.00, plus a bag to freeze the extra crust in if needed. Ragu Pizza sauce on sale is $1.18 (Winco) or use spaghetti or tomato sauce, alfredo sauce works too. Toppings, all depend on the budget. Veggie is one way to save $$, spinach, artichokes, tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, olives, bell peepers and onions (whatever is in the fridge works). Our best pizza's have been using leftovers. Chicken/Turkey left overs w/ BBQ sauce poured over it w/ onions and cheese! Left over taco seasoned meat w/ added veggies is another good one.
No coupons needed, time prepping w/ the kids (again it takes us 10 minutes to prep and 10 to bake), which is quicker than most delivery or take-n-bake!), and it is by far the cheapest way to have pizza and rid the fridge of leftovers! We sometimes end w/ dessert pizza, baked cookie dough, topped w/ strawberry cream cheese and whatever fruit is available (fresh, frozen, or canned). It becomes a full pizza (dinner and dessert) night for under $20 bucks easily! Oh, and homemade ice tea or lemonade too!

Great reminder! We are also a large family (8 of us) and most of these type of things are not a good deal for us either, especially when I easily make my own pizza for pennies.
I appreciate your down-to-earth "voice" that comes through. I subscribe to several other savings blogs, and I don't get that from those...they always seem to have a "hurry, don't miss this one or else" "voice". Yours is refreshing! Thank you

Great point! Sometimes a deal just isn't a deal. The other thing I always consider is whether or not a Groupon (or similiar sites) can be used towards shipping. Most can't and when you factor in shipping, sometimes it isn't that great of a deal.

Excellent points! I passed on this one as soon as I saw it because I don't care for Domino's pizza, buying something you don't really like very much even if it is cheap isn't a good deal as far as I'm concerned :)

I TOTALLY agree, especially about this deal. You can get any large pizza at Pizza Hut for $10 (up to 3 toppings) every day of the week. Or two medium 3 toppings for $6 each on Mondays.

Unless you really want 10 toppings on your pizza, this is not that great of a deal. Plus, I have never liked Dominos, but that is beside the point!
