Tia Yes, I am guessing it will be a permanent thing. We can expect it to now be the 70% off toy clearance instead of 75% off.

This has happened at my Southern Oregon store. Is this a permanent thing? Will it be the 70% toy sale now? Still can’t complain though! 70% is better than full or even half price!

my target’s clearance items have diminished considerably over the past year. all of the back of the isles used to have something, now it’s limited to about one isle in health/beauty, two isles in home goods, and one in the toys section. they barely mark the items down anymore and there is no more than 70% off. very disappointing.

I’ve noticed for a while…I spend less because of it, but I’m not a big spender to start with. : (

I noticed that with the Halloween / fall items! I usually get tons of candy and baking items for at least 30% -70% and come the first week of November, there wasn’t a single item on clearance – in fact it was like it never happened! There is usually one condensed wall of all the fall items before it season area explodes with Christmas but it was compley bare!!!

I talked to someone today about that and there are a few things that still get marked 75% off, but it’s the exception. Even though they have made the switch with the 70% off signs, I still got a few girl’s dresses for 75%.

I have noticed this at my stores also. I still can’t complain, because 70% is better than full price… Some of the women’s clothing is still at 75%, but children’s (more frequent mark downs) have been at 70% lately.
