I just got back from shopping at Target this morning, and I have lots of fun stuff to share with you. First off, the Kent & Renton stores finally markded their Christmas items to 90% off.
Here are the Christmas items I picked up:
Gift Bag .15
Gift Boxes .20
Bows .40
Cello bags .19
Curling Ribbon .30
(3) Boxed Christmas Cards .69
(3) dollar spot Christmas cards .10
Men’s Travel kit 1.00 (SCORE!!!)
Lady Antebellum Christmas CD .69 (LOVE THEM!!) Kent has lots!
I picked up (5) packs of Christmas cards primarily for the envelopes @ .25 each. I also found the holiday packaged tape in the regular tape aisle.
Single pack Scotch Tape .20
Triple pack Scotch Tape .30
When it comes to the tape, you are going to want to look for packages with the price one the front. The regular tape does not have the price printed on the package. The regular price on the 3 pack is 3.00, and the regular price on the singles is 2.00. The singles come in both green and purple. Good luck! I hope you find some. I found mine at Renton, and there are still quite a few of the single packages left.
Here is the update in the toy department, they were marking down lots of toys to 50% off. I did happen to find the 2 Fisher-Price Batman items at 75% off. My son is going to be thrilled! He has been pointing these out to me every time we go to Target.
Here are a few other items that others have found at 75% off (Thanks KT):
- Early Engineers Thomas the Train sets
- Fancy Nancy dress-up sets
- Lightning McQueen dragon remote control car
- Fisher Price video camera
- Olivia transformation house
These are the items I found marked down to 75% off in the electronics department.
Imagine Fashion Designer DS game 7.48 (reg 29.99)
American Girl book 1.76 (reg 6.95)
Sticker Doll Fairies Book 2.06 (reg 8.09)
I also found this fire bowl marked down to 75% off, but I didn’t take it home with me. It was $14.98 (reg 59.99). They had 2 of these at the Renton location.
I would LOVE to hear about your recent Target finds!!

Hi Christy
I just bought the same two Batman items for my son today! They were marked down 75% off at my store also. My store is in WI and the Christmas clearance is 90% off but there is barely anything left. The toy clearance is mostly marked with signs of 30% and some with 50% off but when I looked thru all the items I found quite a bit that is marked 75% off. You just have to really look thru the items. I bought a bunch of toys for my son for birthday and Christmas next year. I will keep checking my store to see if I can get some good deals on toys for my girls.
Thanks for all the tips. I love your site.

OK, so the trick is that the clearance sticker on the items has a number in the top right corner. Either 30 or 50 or 75. This is how you know what %off each item qualifies for. There are a TON at 75% off today. You just have to look! The signs still say 30-50% but the 75% stuff is mixed in too. Happy hunting! I scored AMAZING toys this morning! The 180 piece train set (tracks, accessories, etc) is only $10. Awesome! Staff said all toys will be marked and out by the end of today.

Could you guys please share what Targets you’re referring to? Thanks a bunches! 🙂

I thought I would share my free envelopes tip with you since I read that you were buying Christmas clearance cards for the envelopes. I never buy envelopes as they are plentiful on the card aisles when you ask. I either stop by when I see someone restocking cards before or after a holiday and ask for their extras which they are more than happy to give me or I ask at Walgreens where a lady often stocks them there and keeps a box underneath of just envelopes. I NEVER just take them, I always ask.

Our Target (Atl at GA) still has the “30%” sign, but some of the toys have already been marked down to 50% or 75%. Found several cute kitchen accessary toys (in a tube package) for $2.49 (original 9.99) and a Tag book for $6.50 (original $13).

Gig Harbor Target no longer has any Christmas stuff. I went this morning hoping to get some at 90% off. Bummer.
Looking forward to the 75% toy sale!

Intersting toy clearance this year- I went on lunch and it appeared the markdown team did mark down some things to 75% today I assume, as my local Albuquerque store’s toy depts are usually marked down on Thurs. Anyway, the selection wasnt nearly what it was for the July clearance (maybe that is typical everywhere) and most things are still 30 or 50 off. I’m a little disappointed but still purchased a cute Circo stand mixer at half off for 7.48 as it was last one, a glam Barbie with bike (actually “price reduced” not clearance from 18.99 to 9.99) and a girl’s horse stable set also 50 off for 9.28 which I may return though 😉 Picked up some holiday napkins, more wrap, and hershey’s bliss chocolate at 90% too. Happy shopping everyone. 🙂

Just got back from my Target in TX and brought home $174 worth of toys for only $53. My biggest score was the TS3 Deluxe Stunt Set for $17.48, down 75% from 69.99. I also got a Liv doll and playset for $3.27 & $6.54, each down from $13.09. My youngest 2 are set for birthday presents! My overall savings: 70%.

At my store in NM, I noticed the price tags were removed from many shelves for items which may indicate these regular priced items will be going on clearance. ? Theres not a whole lot of clearance compared to the one in July. In some cases, the items themselves were completely gone leaving an empty rack/shelf yet the regular price tag was there and I am almost certain all of it cannot be sold already…are they taking the items to the back to mark them down and bringing them back out? I checked the main clearance toy asile and end caps and these various items were no where to be found…specificaly some were the Fancy Nancy items. Guess we can just speculate, I just find the way it works is slightly mysterious ha! 😉

@ Lisa…..where @ in Texas?

I went to Target today (not for toys ) but I did find a good deal on something else… chocolate chips! I know that I got some a little cheaper before Christmas because I had coupons to match with them then, but on one of the endcaps at my Target (Kennewick, WA) they were clearanced at $1.69 a bag. They had lots of variety – mini chips, regular, white chocolate, milk chocolate… you name it. We use the mini’s a lot in pancakes and homemade bagels, so I stocked up and threw them in my freezer. I’m a newbie to all of this. Thanks so much for all of your tips!!

This was in The Woodlands. I’m going to check out the Magnolia store tomorrow. Both are about 30 miles north of Houston. They had the toys spread out over 3 aisles, though each was pretty sparse. It was all a mix of 30%, 50% & 75%.

Sherwood, OR is mostly 50% off, with some still at 30% and a few at 75%. I scored some Tag books at 75% off for $3.50. I found the Joker set 50% off and bought it for $15. I might check another local Target this afternoon to see if I can find it for 75% off. I also got a huge set of play food for $5.00.
There’s a ton of clearance all over the store too. It was fun to just wander around and see what they have.

I am in AL, I did look at the price tags for the items because in July my store still had the 30 and 50% off signs up but were at 75%. today though there were a few items at 75 but the majority were still 30 or 50. They were still stocking/ organizing alot of the items as well so i plan to go back in the morning in the event that they did start marking more down to 75. I know in July a lot of things went from 30 straight to 75.
And our Christmas stuff was all gone, unless they moved it to a different area.

Thank you for the tip! I headed to the Landing Target and scored one of the firepits! YIPPPPEEEE!

The Bonney Lake (Washington) Target is ahead of the game and as of this morning had a ton of items at 75% (I bought Lego, Fisher Price Little People Airport, Horse Castle, Circo train set, baby book, Disney Princess Keys, Police and Fire action figures, play vehicles, an Olivia play house and accessories, and some really great Paperoni sets (and refills). There is a crew of about 5 who are doing nothing but stocking and organizing the inventory. Puyallup only has a few items and no one was working the inventory. I did notice that the Moxie girls snow cabin says 30% off but scanned is really 50% off so double check your items before you pass them up. They may be reduced more than they say. Happy hunting!
Christy says
@Elizabeth S – The number from my receipt for the Batman Joker set is 204030816. Hope you find one!
Christy says
@Shannon – I am glad you were able to get one of the fire pits, it really was a great deal!

Fairview, OR Target has Christmas stuff at 90% but Mall 205 is still at 75%. I got several bags of mint chocolate chips for $0.25 and M&M pretzels for $0.72 then some assorted cards and such. As for the toys, Fairview is at 50% and Mall 205 mostly at 30% but with three well stocked isles. I can’t wait!!

I too bought the Joker house at the Sherwood Target today (it was the last one and my boys have been wanting it so bad!) It was 50% off though, not 75%. Hope Sherwood goes 75% soon. Annette–did you find anything else great 75% off? I found a cute learning game, that’s about it!

Lindsey- I’m glad you got one of the Joker houses. There were 3 on the shelf and I knew they wouldn’t last until 75% off. I bought two of them, one for me and one for my sister whose son wants one. My son plays with it every time we come to the store. He got the Imaginext Batcave for Christmas, so this goes perfectly with it.
I didn’t see a ton of 75% off things at Sherwood, but I made a trip down to Wilsonville and they had a lot more items 75% off. They had a Little Mommy (I think that’s what it’s called) doll with a bunch of accessories for 12.50 (75%), the Leapfrog Zippity thing for $20 and some other randomness that I didn’t really want, but it seemed like they had more 75% off items. But overall, I’d say Sherwood had a better selection of clearance toys overall. I wrote down a ton of things so that I know what I’m looking for when they go 75% off.
lindsey says
Annette — that is so funny, I considered driving to Wilsonville last night too, but then I felt crazy! 🙂 Hahahaha, well we will see each other bright and early whenever the toys go 75%. I will keep checking and let you know what I find!!
Jenney says
Thanks so much for the tip on the fire pit. It wasn’t marked at all (clearance or regular), so I would have never looked twice at it if not for this website. I got the only one!
Kayla says
Annette – do you think you could get me one of those Little Mommy sets for $12.50? I would so much appreciate it and have been looking for it everywhere since I first saw it for 50% off, it sold out early. Please email me if you can 🙂 I would make it worth your time!! Thanks again!
