It’s so fun to get a good deal and a great gift. Our only problem: by the time Christmas rolls around, we have all the gifts purchased, but it’s the season and we still want to shop! My mom and friends want to go xmas shopping, so I tag along and buy even more! I guess we still get a lot more for our money, but I’m not sure how much we’re saving over just shopping frugally during the holiday season and not buying as many gifts. Does this happen to anybody else?

I keep a notebook of everything I have bought so I know what I have. I even write down the clothes I buy for the next year so I know what I already have. It is a total time saver to come home and write it down in my notebook and then put it away.

As for stocking stuffers, I have quite a few already. Justice For Girls had a sale in January where they had take an extra 40% off their clearance items and they said I could use my 40% off coupon on top of that. I got purses, leg warmers, jewelry, shirts, pants, sweaters and much more for just pennies. I was so happy I almost did a happy dance, but I restained myself. I love January sales!
Oh I also hit two Targets when their toys went 75% off. I got so much stuff that I am set for every holiday and I already started my Christmas shopping.

(ages, 1 month, 3 yr, 4 yr, and 5 yr) And we did it all in January. Total, we spent $125.00!! I hit the clearance like a mad woman and we even are shopped up for neices and nephews! I already put together their valentine’s bags, and Easter baskets (using clearance stuff from this fall – Halloween and Thanksgiving). It GREAT! Our rubbermaids are packed, organized and ready to go!

I have a legal pad with a page for Christmas 2011 and I write everyone’s name on that page. As we buy Christmas gifts I add it to the list. I then put the items we buy in large plastic bins with lids and a list of what is in each bin. I love getting nice gifts at a bargain price.
