It’s free to join and as long as you’re in good standing – meaning you’re lending and not just borrowing – it’s a great system. The only downside is uploading your collection. At one time they had a sync feature, but Amazon made them disable it. (boo!)

I just got a Kindle for my birthday last week…I did some research and, although library e-books are not Kindle-compatible, there are free downloadable content converters that will allow you to convert and ePub book to a Kindle-friendly version. Do a google search and enjoy!

They compile all of the available free books, even ones that are only up for a short time. They also have a bargain book section that covers books that are under a $1.

I installed the Kindle App on my Android phone and am loving it!
