Every month Lowe’s offers a FREE Build and Grow clinic for kids.  Be sure to register your kids for the next FREE clinic which is Saturday, February 8, at 10:00 am.  Kids can build a Love Note Holder.  This will come in handy to hold all of their special valentines day cards.

Kids get a FREE apron, goggles & more while supplies last.  Registration is available online a few weeks before each clinic.

We are looking forward to planting our first garden this spring, but we have never planted one before. I have fond memories of helping my Grandma in her garden when I was younger, but that is about the extent of my gardening experience.

I picked up the All New Square Foot Gardening book, thanks to a friend’s recommendation. If you have any other great resources for planting a garden, I would love to hear them. Please leave a comment letting me know things you have learned – good or bad! I can use all the help and resources you have. We are hoping to plant a vegetable garden with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, herbs, etc.
